On the morning of September 29, rescuers were alerted to intervene for the extraction of a deceased person who had been in the Cave Surprizelor in Criuleni District for an extended period. The call to the 112 Service was received at 08:08 AM. To recover the body, four rescue teams intervened from the Regional Search and Rescue Directorate No. 1 (Chișinău), Regional Search and Rescue Directorate No. 2 (Bălți), the Criuleni Emergency Situations Section, and the Republican Center for Operational Intervention. Upon arrival, they determined that the person was at a depth of approximately 60 meters, and the passages in the cave were extremely narrow.
The difficult mission lasted more than 12 hours. To recover the body, several teams were formed to penetrate the interior of the cave and carry out the operation. Thanks to the professionalism of the specialized teams, IGSU (General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations) employees succeeded in bringing the body of the 33-year-old man to the surface.

The man was found in the southern part of the cave in a difficult-to-access gallery, at a distance of 60 m from the cave entrance. The evacuation was hindered by very narrow vertical passages.
Members of the ABIS Club (I. Telesman, A. Palamarciuc, D. Rusnac, R. Perevalov, A. Guliev) provided informational and practical support in the evacuation of the deceased person.

After the tragic incident, the club submitted a request to the central public authority to restrict public access to the cave. Public access remains open at this time.
